Stolen Car With Puppy Inside Returned To Peninsula Owner: Police

The victim's puppy, a 2-month-old mini-Australian Shepherd, was still inside when the vehicle was stolen.

SAN BRUNO, CA — A puppy left in a vehicle that was stolen and driven away in San Bruno was found safe and unharmed, according to police.

On April 29, officers said a black sedan that was unoccupied with the engine running was stolen at the 400 block of Cypress Avenue. The victim’s puppy, a 2-month-old mini-Australian Shepherd, was still inside.

Officers found the car several hours later on the 500 block of Poplar Avenue. The dog was still inside and unhurt, and was handed back to the owner along with the car.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s, with a thin build and a light brown buzz haircut.
